Summer Farm Camp

What new fruit or vegetable will YOU fall in love with this summer?

You’re invited to come play with your food—and learn to love it, grow it, and cook it, too! Rising 1st graders through rising 6th graders transform into Schoolyard Farmers and experience a week-in-the-life of a one acre urban production farm. Come explore the seeds, roots, sprouts, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruits we’ll chop and sprinkle into farm-fresh recipes and enjoy eating each day. A choice farm-to-fork experience for campers totally new to pulling carrots, young green thumbs, and seasoned food critics, alike! Farm arts and crafts activities, scientific inquiry, community building and active play and up to a whole lot of outdoor fun, all day!

By supporting Farm Camp you help us achieve our mission of increasing the health of our community by teaching kids how to grow nutritious food that goes from their schoolyard to their plate.

What Does My Child Need for Camp?

very day of camp your child will need to bring: a healthy lunch, water bottle, hat, sunscreen, and close-toed shoes. We recommend you label and pack camper items in a backpack or small bag. We ask that camper cell phones remain in camper backpacks during camp, and all other toys and electronic devices remain at home.

Along with all the tools and supplies we need, Schoolyard Farms will provide morning snack, afternoon snack, unlimited water and lots of fun every day
